It's a girl!

Today's weather is so miserable which is bringing me down a bit. So to try to stop myself from having artistic blues I decided to get my back side into gear and cheer myself up by going back in time and remembering this lovely newborn in-home session.

Originally mum was planning for a maternity photo-shoot but one thing lead to another and hey presto, baby girl was here and I found myself inside of a beautiful cottage with this amazing family of 5! They were all so welcoming and laid back which was hard to believe especially when mum said both herself and her partner were camera shy. Well, we spoke over the email, over the phone, we got to know each other a little, put ourselves at ease and we had some beautiful photos at the end of it.

Big thank you goes to this amazing family who let me share their photographs.

If you are thinking about at home session but worried that your house is not a show home fear not. I'm a mum of two. Yes I can be house proud sometimes but I promise you that right now, as I'm typing this, my desk is covered in paperwork, you can't see the floor for all they toys and the pile of washing up is happily sitting in the sink waiting for me to greet it with open arms.

Home is where the heart is. It is an epicenter of your everyday, full of memories and things of a sentimental value. To have your family photos taken here means you can have all those special times documented in the place that is close to your heart. And the fact that you don't have to rush around to get anywhere, kids can come and go as they please in case they get bored or tired of being in front of the camera, that's just a bonus.Oh and who says you can't wear your PYJAMAS? So if you like the idea of a lazy weekend morning (or any time of the day for that matter) combined with a family photoshoot then get in touch here. I'm all for fun sessions where jumping on the beds is involved!
